An Evening With Tour

Despite spending most of my day at work debating, do I pull Tour out like I should or keep working on Christmas Elf Fairy? Of course I really, really, really wanted to keep working on CEF, she's such a nice easy stitch! However I behaved and worked on Tour for a few hours. Once my eyes started getting a little tired of working over one I did pull out CEF. So I'd say it was a win-win situation all around!
Here's tonight's progress on Tour

And my progress on CEF

Tour looks like quite the undertaking - I'm glad you're keeping going with your Elf for a bit of light relief and Christmas cheer :)

Hi Dani,

I'm so glad to hear that the parcel arrived safely (always a concern) and that you liked everything. I'm afraid that when it comes to finishing things I've got lots to learn, but I wanted to send you something to thank you again for your lovely needle holder that you stitched for me this summer. And Christmas is the perfect time to remember someone special. So enjoy.

Now, congratulations are in order. The Castle is amazing. The colours and the detail are so beautiful. The whole piece is magical. With this finish, and Noah's Sub in the summer, you've managed to finish two very large designs this year.

I liked seeing your progress on Tour, and the backstitching that you've done on it has really given it definition. Is this design based on an actual place?? It has an Eastern European look to it.

The Mirabilia Elves are so popular, and it's no wonder. Sweet, without being too complicated, and each one a nice tribute to a holiday. I love the colours in this one's dress.

The ornament that Alison sent you is so pretty. I love the ribbon and bead trim she's put around the outside. So what exactly are Tim Tams? They look yummy but I'd guess that they're not available here are they?

Did you have any of the nasty weather in your area that was being predicted for today?? It really didn't amount to much here thank goodness. But it looks pretty foggy out there right now. We're suppose to see some snow tonight, which will be a nice change from rain. I'm still hoping for a white Christmas.

Cheers
